I've just bought a new laptop and was wondering if there is a way of exporting my iTunes onto it. Its about 7500 songs and I cant be bothered to go through the trauma of putting them all on from scratch. Please help!

I did'nt know the Bay city rollers recorded that many songs.

There is a way but I'm not too sure of the technicalities. I think you need to 'share' the folder so its accessible on your laptop via the wireless router. Someone will be able to help though.

If you "share" the folder on a home network you can indeed transfer the songs via a wireless link or a null modem connection. Did it myself when I got my new desktop, 7000+ tunes in a couple of hours I tend to remember.

derek i have the same problem, let me know if you find a solution, my main problem is that my new computer is vista and the old one is xp ::stunned:

Am I being thick in thinking that if you have all your songs on your iPod already you can just resync it with itunes on your new machine and all the songs will copy onto that?

Apple's attempt at stopping people able to spread music illegally by taking their iPods to various computers. So you can as MK said only transfer easily from original source PC by opening folders up.

Of course there is some software out there that can probably help but as both PC's are owned by the same person and working, then via network is the easiest method.

Also does anyone know a way or a crack to put "maybe illegally downloaded" music on to an IPHONE? with out it getting locked!
