Blue tinted optimist⭐🦐
Here's an article from an Oxford site which shows how the negativity against the team and certain players at the Kassam has an effect

http://www.rageonline.co.uk/fans-view-southend/

To be honest, at times it read as though it could have been an article on here!

This year the fans at the Hall have generally been much better than last year. As I said at the beginning of the season, we can be the 12th man and we should continue to support the team through thick and thin, making RH a very difficult place to come.

I thought this nugget worth quoting:

And then there’s the guy who keeps ringing in saying we’ve got to invest big time. Someone please explain to him (again and again and again if necessary) the financial reality of the situation and how much we are already in debt. Lots of millions as it happens. All cosily covered for us by Ian Lenagan, by the way. That may not last forever and as gates fall the debts are only going to go one way.

There seems to be a feeling that we are somehow "special" and "a laughing stock" because of our financial position. In truth we are little different from the majority of League 2 clubs, not many of whom have an Ian Lenagan to cover their spiralling debts.

Since the sacking of tilly (cant say if that a main reason) the atmosphere has changed at the hall. Particularly during the sturrock reign it could be venomous. A look at our home record over the last few seasons and players publicly stating that home games were difficult due to this should be a real pointer to supporters that attitudes need to change. We can really help rather than make our own players nervous.

Personally I think this could really be an area where the Blue Voice could help. There are always going to be isolated incidents, and I've not been to RH this season, but we need to try to make the noise at the Hall positive and supportive - and drown out the idiots.

Interesting that he says we were denied a blatant penalty! It looked the same from where we were sitting, but we were a long way from the incident.

I had the misfortune to hear 30 mins of the BBC Oxford Commentary on Saturday, give me NA and PC over their commentators any day. Anyway, even they said it was a blatant pen.

add to that the majority of league one clubs and a fair few of championship clubs as well.

well said and spot on.

I'll settle for some thick
