Where's the battrick thread?

Now the real thing is over (and what is the nexxt gong up from MBE for Collingwood?), I need something to keep me sane on a Friday!

Batrick has been a bit **** this morning, display has been rubbish, unable to see players names etc, although your game has been Ok from the start, and both Mrs BB's and B's games are now showing as normal. so maybe it's just working it's way through.

Anyway, I'm batting in my game. I've played my reserves with the exception of Evelyn as I want to give my 1's a decent test Sunday's friendly against Kev, and I'm still trying to get an XP pop for Evelyn !!

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 19: 126-2, runrate=6.63

I think it's Evelyn who's 74 not out

EDIT - It is, as all displays are now working

Promotion this year YB ??

My form since the second half of last season has been pretty good. I feel at home on green pitches I should be able to win. I'm not so sure about my away form when I have to play on other surfaces, but so far so good. Inter Yerma look a very decent side so will be tough and one of the newly promoted teams also looks very handy although they lost last week.

I wasn't originally envisaging challenging for promotion, but if I keep winning....

B - why do you think Sutherland has started to take wickets. Is it down to improved consistency/stamina or have you found a role or a pitch that he likes?

I've started playing him attacking (he's naturally attacking anyway). I did that last season on a cracked pitch and he was seriously expensive. On a H&F it seems he plays economically but takes wickets too:

Sutherland 9-2-22-4

Also playing him at 2 rather than 1 so he bowls 1-10 and 21-30.

Obviously the increased consistency helps too, strong rather than respectable which is an almost acceptable level.

Oppo opted to bat first on their dusty pitch...obviously not seen my 3 spinners before.... Although as it turned out it was the cloudy overhead condistions which allowed my medium pace opening bowler to finish with figures of: Mcgreal 5-1-18-5 having destroyed their top order.

Ruddy my star spinner bowled four maidens on the trot and ended with 5-5-4-0 let it slip with a boundary in his 5th over. I think I'll drop him.

End of Over 30: 95-10, runrate=3.17
Job 9-0-37-2
Platt* 3 (8 balls)

Bowlers definitely have certain roles they perform better in. Take my opening bowlers for example. Ramsden is a great bowler at the death, but Daniels is a lot more effective opening than bowling at the death.

If I switched them around they wouldn't be nearly as effective.

Wooo, someone else managed a wicket!

End of Over 34: 89-6, runrate=2.62
Sajjad 7-2-14-1
Livesey* 5 (8 balls)
Boffy 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Leadbeater b. Sajjad 15 (FOW: 89/6)

End of Over 41: 281-2, runrate=6.85
Odriscoll 6-0-42-0
Martyn* 80 (79 balls)
Evelyn 152 (126 balls)

Last Wicket: John c & b. Hotte 21 (FOW: 102/2)

Career best for Evelyn, his 1st 150, bet he still doesn't pop in XP !
