Let's be honest. We are Southend united and not man City.

We have had good teams and bad teams. The team that got relegated from league were very poor, but when you look at this league and the squad we have then you seriously have to ask the question.

Is this the worst team or worst performing team in our history?

Sad to say that's true. Absolute legend of a football player and one of my all time favourites (if not the favourite). Unfortunately being a great footballer does not automatically translate into being a half decent manager.

This was the rough team that Brown got sacked with:

Arnold, Ralph, Ogogo, Coulson, Bridge (Kargbo 82’), Dunne, Murphy (Dennis 67’), Dalby, Egbri, Atkinson, White (C). Subs Not Used: Seaden, Hobson, Demetriou

Dalby, Arnold, Hobson, Dennis are all upgrades on what we currently have. A younger Bridge and Deme were both decent.

White, Atkinson, Egbri, Murphy, Dunne, Coulson and Ogogo are all questionable though.
