is anyone else worried?

Youth Team
I have to admit to being rather worried about Johnson being sold for 8.5 million. They will need a replacement and clearly have cash.

I've just seen this link, which now worries me even more, seeing as Taylor is local and has picked up a number of our players in the past (Lee, Webb, Cort.....)

Please don't go Freddy

Taylor favourite for palace job

On the flip side, Mike Newell could get the job, thereby destabilising Luton and bringing another club into our relegation battle (if one dares assume that we might be involved in such a thing).

Not that worried to be honest. I don't see what selling him at the moment would do for us. If he has a good season this year we could probably double whatever we'll get for him this summer, and I don't see Freddy demanding to move to a club like Palace. Not yet anyway.

New manager? How about Martin Allen?

He's just resigned from Brentford.

getting out at the right time i reckon. I can't see him achieving much with the bees next season

have they sold Tabb yet? if not we should go in for him, although midfield isn't a priority I know...

Freddy will be with us for another season, I am sure of that.

He seems to have no intention of leaving and from the interview after the Bristol city game he looks keen to play for us in the Championship next season.

How long after next season he stays is anyones guess.

I doubt Peter Taylor would take the Palace job, after all a short while ago he turned down Charlton who are an established premiership club.
Palace are nothing more than a yoyo side at best.

Palace seem to go for managers with a bit of a screw loose so I think Martin Allen fits the bill here.

The gossip was that Spud got knocked back by Charlton, hence his humble pie eating with Adam Pearson.

This summer's turning out to be quite a managerial merry-go-round. Palace, Ipswich, Sunderland and Brentford now all without managers.

Not really worried about this - if Palace had won the playoffs then maybe, but I doubt Freddy would bugger off to another Championship side without giving us another season first.

Derby too.

Does seem quite funny really, particularly as all bar one of them are in our league and chances are that one manager will have an absolute shocker.

So glad we look like we won't have to worry about Ian Atkins being sighted at Roots Hall as Collymore is leaving!
