Great stuff - good on ya Tilly (ahem Tillie)...

Prefer your headline. Shame we'll never see that in the broadsheets. "Southend stand firm as Ipswich told to jog on!"

Tilly loves SOuthend as much as we all do!! Not to mention the fact that they tried for Parkinson first and when that went nowhere then came in for Tilly!! Second fiddle to Col Ewe scum - I think not!!!!!!!!!!

They may yet go back for Parkinson as Colin Calderwood has just been confirmed as manager at Forest.

Wasn't Nigel Pearson one of the names Stan mentioned as being part of his backroom team when he was touted for the Roots Hall job?

When they don't win the European Cup this year they'll sack Calderwood as well!

Big club my ar$e!

they were caretaker managers, all the forest fans wanted them but the board for Calderwood

The back page of hte echo also has a story on this, I feared the worst when i scan read it and saw tilson and ipsich in the same headlines.

He would never leave us, hes still a young manager, sky sports news just revelead marrtin allen has gone from brentford, he will for sure goto ipsich now?

Just hope that Tilson and Brush are given large pay rises in their new contracts. I had heard that Tilson was one of the poorer paid managers in League 1.
The number one priorty even ahead of signing new players is too keep TIlson and Brush sweet.

** Bring Bring **

ITFC: Hello Ron Martin? This is David Sheepshanks at Ipswich Town...

SUFC: And?

ITFC: I wonder if we could have permission to speak to Steve Tilson?

SUFC: Why?

ITFC: For our vacancy of First Team Manager.

SUFC: Nope. Jog on. ** line goes dead **

Here's thinking it went something like that...

not quite - apparently Sheepshagger rang the ticket office by mistake, intially No. 7 in queue he then had to wait for 1 hr 45 mins, finally getting through and on then asking if he could speak to Tilly was told the computer says no, but he could buy a seat at ground level in South Lower if he liked at which point he hung up and went to sort his flyers to hand out for the Suffolk Show tomorrow hence my earlier post. Tis true.
