Here's the stuff from the FL show: 1:02:32

I think that the Cresswell incident is particularly unsavoury but I do think it worth an appeal, the guy clearly elbows him, and while his reaction was completely wrong, there was definite provocation. Also, as I said elsewhere, what would one more match matter? Great goal by Hurst....again, and nice pass from Straker to their player for their goal

Interestingly, just before ours, is another unsavoury incident with the Rotherham fans throwing something onto the pitch. Sanctions imposed?

Nice strike from Hurst, wish he'd do that more often because I'm sure there's more goals in there somewhere. Christ knows what Straker was thinking with that clearence. Cresswell was a fool to react the way he did, but if he had been captain would the red mist have descended as quick, I have to wonder.

He would have been better off rolling over and playacting than thumping / pushing the bloke and getting sent off!

Like most of our players, since Anthony Grant left we don't have such professionals in our side that get the important free kicks... if you catch my drift :winking:

Yes, it was what I was thinking........if it had been Anthony Grant involved, it wouldn't have been us down to ten men. Cresswell should have collapsed like a sack of potatoes holding the elbowed area..........sadly, too honest.

I have seen a lot worse get only a yellow, but no chance of getting it overturned. Didn't think Strakers clearance was as bad as it sounded. It should of been row z, but there was still a lot to do for them to score.

Cracking goal from Hurst though.

By the way, I thought Prosser captained the team well. Very vocal, lots of encouragement for his team mates and a good performance to boot.

Or maybe it proves that Sturrock was right to select Prosser as captain ahead of Cresswell.

Prosser has worked very hard on his game, has not sulked after being dropped, and most importantly for a captain very vocal and a good organiser. The right choice I think.

As to the red card - 100% deserved.

Don't disagree with Prosser as captain at all he has all the right attributes as does Cresswell, just a hypothetical that if Cresswell had been captain he may have reacted differently. Still whats done is done

Sorry Kay, after having seen the video, I think an appeal would be the height of frivolity!

Cresswell has already admitted on Twitter he deserved the red card and apologised for letting everyone down. No appeal.

The guy shoved his elbow into Cressy's face and deserved red for it. Cressy needed to go down holding his face, not shove the guy.

Looking at the goal, poor clearance by Straker but not sure what Smith did for the goal. He looked to fall over after the event. 2 good saves from Smith at the death though and saved Straker's arse because it was another very weak clearance by Straker.

Well taken goal by Hurst too.

We'll get laughed at with an appeal. Cresswell reacted foolishly. Their guy did lead with an arm. All Cresswell had to do was go down the way their guy did and the red could have been the other way round.
