SUFC: The Future Interview with Justin Rees 20/02/2025

Very interesting and on the whole an encouraging interview. Only slight criticism is that when Justin was asked about Mr Shivas and also about data he should have delved further and asked for examples of how these roles can work in the clubs favour when signing players.

I think he pretty much covered it to be honest. Opens the pool of potential signings wider.

An interesting comment about having got 7 points from 9 and if we hadn't "it may have had a different tone"

Do you think that Justin being present for all 3 games indicated that after the Sittingbourne and Maidenhead defeats he was considering his options on the management front?

He says in the interview that they are listening to the fans feedback. Maybe the feedback on our recent performances based on line ups and starting XI has caught his attention. 🤔

100% No. He just meant it’s easier to talk about the club after a positive set of results.

If you believe that I think you're being naive. Firstly, all he meant was that it's easier to talk about the club after three good results: he meant the tone of the interview, i.e. it might have been a bit more sombre.

Secondly, I 100% doubt Justin and COSU will take feedback on team selections etc from us lot, especially as we can't all agree ourselves. Don't forget, as a poll has shown, people that want the management team changed are in the minority. Why would he listen to them, just because they're louder?

He briefly touched on roots Hall regeneration.

Wonder when the east stand work will begin. Surely the west and north will need improvement to see them through the capacity reduction
