Question Internet

Just had my laptop repaired and I was wondering what are the best alternatives to Internet explorer and how I get them. I hear a lot of them spoken about on here, are they really much better. Thanks

Firefox is a fantastic browser. Google Chrome is simple and very fast

if you use firefox at work and at home, download 'Xmarks' and it's a really simple application that means you can have the same bookmarks on each one. they automatically sync when you change them on either machine, and you can also turn of certain folders (on the toolbar or in the Bookmarks menu) so your porn folder won't show up on your work computer.

it's changed my life!

To be fair I never really got why I'd need anything other than IE and wrote the whole Firefoxoff as being a cult dreamed up by a bunch of lefty ******s who just wanted to be different.

Then I tried it and realised how brilliant it is.

I am far from being a lefty, but Open Source is a fantastic thing, and Firefox is a great browser and something I have been championing since it first appeared on the net in the days of Firebird.

IE is just too insecure and anyone who keeps using does leave themselves open to more chances of being a victim of internet crime.

I never tried Firefox as I have always been more than happy with Safari. Love the Top Sites feature on version 4.0
