Beagrie Speaks...

Quite a good read, Beagrie sums up the Promotion race and Tips us and Huddersfield for the automatic spots, referring to us as the best Footballing teams in this division.

One thing did catch my eye, Never knew that Scunny were interested in Eastwood when he was at Grays as well as us. Refers to him as having "absolutely everything" and Eddie Howe tipped Beagrie off. Turns out higher clubs have asked Beagrie about our Freddy, and he has said to all of them "Snap him up"

Funnily enough, Beagrie also thinks Maher is a "Martin Keown Lookalike and Tackle-a-like"

As for Scunny looking at him last season as we were in the same division so we ar hardly going to sell our best player to our main rivals. And as Scunnys transfer budget is approx £5 how would they have got him......

No, I think they wanted him before we got him permanently, remember we had him on loan to begin with & his 2nd game was at Scunny, I seem to remember there were rumours they might try & do a deal with Grays before we could

By all accounts Scunthorpe were making enquiries while Freddy was still with Grays.

Might have mis-read it a bit...

However as Freddy reportedly turned down a whole host of clubs as he didnt want to relocate away from Essex they were always pi$$ing into the wind.
