Interesting article - Mulgrew

I think Swindon have probably offered more than we offered/were originally willing to offer and Wolves are waiting on us to improve on the Swindon bid, or negotiating with us for a better bid.

So yes, probably playing us off against them.

One thing, if he joins Swindon and not us, he'll have more fun on their pre-season tour than our trips to the usual Essex non-league grounds.

"Town boss Maurice Malpas has the Swindon players back in training this Friday (27 June) to ready them for the three game tour of Austria. Whilst over there, The Robins will take on Romanian side Steaua Bucharest and Champions League quarter-finalists Fenerbahce. They round the tour off with a game against Czech side FC Zlin before returning home for eight more games, including a game against Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth"

I think that article was put up before in the "Swindon Join Chase For Mulgrew" thread ... however the comments section is more up to date now, and i noticed one of their fans says that we have first option on him, his family all live in Southend, and he is often seen out and about in town  :D :D :D ... at least they too have their doom and gloom merchants

From my understanding of the situation from a freind in the no is that mulgrew wants to come back to us but the hold is at the wolves end
as one somebody is away on holiday

Once he returns i belive next week all will be sorted out

i'd pay 200 - 250k for him.

Same. We have seen what hes like unlike paying that sort of fee for players we have never seen. and hes only young. so i would pay around the same figure.

As ive said before though, if we lose Mulgrew to Swindon i will be very dissapointed.

Same here, very good player. Has said he wants to come here so we need to try and get something done, which i'm sure we're trying to do.
