Insureandgo....

I remember reading it gives you a slight discount if you are a Southend United fan, is this true or a load of bull****? (theres another one that got past the filter mods)

Not on the discount list... Though when you ring up, quote that you've seen a price online and they'll match it.

Got an email ages ago from Southend saying quote a certain code, that you get discount from them.

Maybe having a word with the club, they maybe able to help

Yeah I will give the club an E-mail, thanks for your help guys :)
Would rep you Hutton but I must spread it around first.

It's not on the discount list on the system so it might've expired, it may change because of the new sponsorship deal.

I tried for my trip to Oz two years ago & they were a million miles off with their prices, even with a discount.

Shop around & if they will match the price & cover you get elsewhere, go for it!

I personally wasn't impressed with their prices or attitude, which considering I'd mentioned I was a SUFC STH, was quite a shock.

if u order on the phone you get a 5% discount but you cant do this on a net.
my mums done it on holiday the last couple of years...
she'll do anything to save a bit of money.

We just said that we were season ticket holders and it was a small percentage off! (better than nothing though!!)

talking about insureandgo, i submitted a claim last tuesday, how long should i expect to hear back from them?

The discount is 5%, quote SUTL when you ring up.

Soonish mate, it's not claims that are busy yet, they're just a bunch of clueless c*nts.

coolio, someone said 7-10 working days? is that pretty standard... just itching to hear back cos we can't rebook our holiday until we get our refund

This almost describes my experience. However, they wouldn't match my existing insurers renewal quote. Service was poor too.

I've just spent the best part of a week filling in a claims form and collating receipts, bank statements, manuals, guarantees and old bits of packaging, such were the things they wanted of me to prove I once had an iPod.

If I didn't know better, I'd think insurance companies didn't want you to claim...

They don't want you to rip all the other policyholders off by claiming for something that was never lost / yours in the first place etc

Well that's true. But there must be far easier ways to make money than frauduently attempt it this way.

Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed with their service. I got a letter today saying they weren't pursuing my claim as I hadn't lodged a report with the police. True, the claim policy (in the tiny print) said originally that you may get you claim revoked if you didn't lodge it with the police OR other appropriate authority, but given that I notified BA, London Transport and the local train station I thought that'd suffice due to that little word "or". Plus when I looked into doing that with the Police, it barely seemed a worthy way to use their time, plus it was 24 hours after I lost it so wouldn't have been valid in the Policy's eyes anyhow.

But despite proof that I had an ipod, bank statements, reference numbers at all of the above and receipts, that's the end of that they've told me.
