Incident in Liverpool

Believe it or not, the latest reports are that it may not have been a planned attack, but more road rage/anger. Apparently, the driver tried to stupidly make his way through the crowd. Some Liverpool fans responded by banging on and kicking and bashing his car, and he reversed into some that were doing it, as sort of a warning, but then lost the plot and drove into some fans. Whether he has mental issues, we shall see.
Yea it looks that way. Footage before looks like he's gone down a road that wasn't closed off (God knows why that was - police responsibility) then fans are attacking his car. His back window is smashed before he turned into another road and drove through the crowd. He's either got angry or panicked. Either way, God knows why he drove through so many. The whole incident is insane and I guess it will eventually come out. It's certainly not terrorism in my opinion, or that of the police. Just a crazy world we live in.

27 injured, 2 serious including a child. Let's hope they pull through.

Terribly sad and a total farce in policing. How was the car allowed down there in the first place it was on the bloody parade route? People should be losing jobs and seeing criminal investigation over this.

Equally the idiot driving the car, plus the idiots attacking him should all see punishment too.

A few years back at Horndon 10 k race, the roads are closed for a few hours to enjoy the race for runners and spectators.
Same thing happened impatient driver decide to drive through the road and thankfully only nudged a few runners, but how he survived is another story as runner / spectators pulled him out the car and gave him a good beating
Police had no witnesses to the driver being beaten so no charges made only against driver
Hope all hurt in Liverpool are going home soon and with families

I was in the Ticket queue on Saturday with a few mates, so that we could get block booking. About 11;00hrs some idiot insisted on driving through the queue as he had come from Roots hall avenue. Got impatient with someone picking up bags and drinks in order to allow him through. Winds his window down and makes all sorts of loud threats.....Circles the car park then drives out. Perhaps the queue was too long or he couldn't back up his ridiculous and over the top reaction.... Looked like definite case of little man behind the wheel syndrome.

Was one of the people with a chair who had to move. It was really strange. People were moving as quickly as they could but he felt obliged to give his accelerator a pump to jerk the car forward a couple of times threateningly. One guy kicked out at the car as it went through as it was dangerous and unnecessary, which led to a lot of "D'yer wanna fight??/I'll knock you out" and similar jolly banter, before he sped round the car park, stopping briefly to hurl some more distant threats, before speeding off shouting abuse at the queue. If he'd been driving a people carrier, I would not have been surprised to find he was on his way to Liverpool!! Not so much "little man" behind the wheel as "massive c*ck"!

He got through a road block by following an ambulance that was on it's way to a suspected heart attack victim. Questions need to be asked how and why was he allowed through. Especially for the security, and safety of people at future events.

Think I was right behind you in the queue.

Anyone get his reg number?

Worth reporting to the club ...

Shocking footage. Police definitely need to look at how and why he was allowed to follow an ambulance under those traffic restrictions in place. I did wonder if he panicked, and then when the bloke smashed his rear windscreen, just totally lost it - and if that bloke had been the original one described as arrested. If the driver is proven to have been drug driving then he deserves everything coming to him with the attempted murder charge.
