Inadequacy - locked topic

I was trying to reply to this but the topic got locked mid-post!

As far as I can see this is about the only negativity that can be justified at this moment in time.

I feel a lot of what is wrong in administration terms of our beloved football club lies singularly at the door of GK.  OK, fair enough, you might argue I'm looking for a scapegoat in these dark days, but to be honest, if he pulled his finger out and didn't shoot himself & the club in the foot in certain areas, then we might not have to pay peanuts in terms of wages.

Don't get me wrong, SUFC seem on the whole to be a far better run organisation than even in the days of John Main (which was 1000% better than the Uncle Vic era) but to be honest, I feel this is a combination of Ron Martin's shrewdness plus the feel good factor of the on-filed success as well as valuable people like Scriv & the ticket-office girls and club-shop guys who do a tireless job in sometimes difficult circumstances (thanks to you know who!)

Does anyone actually know enough about what Geoff King does in his role here to really comment on whether he's doing his job properly or not?

Thats a genuine question, by the way. If anyone does know what Geoff King goes all day for Southend United, please spill the beans.

Personally I do think people want a scapegoat and a name to sing beofre shouting "out" at during games. Not many want to shout Tilson out and only crazy people (Dagenham Kev) would shout "Martin Out" with what he is trying to achieve.

If everything was exactly like it is, and we were 8th in the league would we get any comments about Geoff King ?

Yes we may moan about some ticketing issues but I dont think the complaints would be as prominent as they are.

Is that GKC Communications Ltd ? (in which case the "C" in GKC would surely be tautology). Or perhaps a similarly named company?

If so, aren't they in administration?

According to Companies House yes they are...

Last accounts filed for that company was for the financial year ending 30/11/2003
