In Need of good meat!

Does anyone know of a good butcher in the Southend/Southchurch area?

Getting a bit narked off with the high prices and low quality of supermarket meats!

Used the one in Sutton road a couple of times, but found his cuts a bit fatty.

I always recommend farmers markets. We have two butchers that come bi-weekly and their produce is superb and you can buy things out of the ordinary like wood pigeon, venison and wild boar.

Must be one around the Southend area I'm sure.

Bit further than you asked, but i can highly recommend Sid @ Prime Cut in Wickford. Tilly even gets his meat there!!

Take yourself to northwield market got £50 worth of meat for £20. £21 worth of bacon was done for a fiver. Very nice too, must be other markets that do it as well, northwield is fairly far

Byfords in Rayleigh High St is always good. The also have a shop just off the A127 opp the Progress Rd lights in the parade of shops there.
