Ill-Discipline...

Medway Blue

Trust chairman/glutton for punishment ⭐🦐
...is the key word here.

The Blues played well today, but they've irritated me so much. The boys should have been far out of sight mid-way through the second half, but there are too many players panicking in front of goal or being too slow. Just stick it away! And in the last 20 minutes, it seemed as though we just gave up trying for a second goal and sat back on the slender lead. Whoever decided we should do that needs a slap. We should have kept going. And who was picking up the bloke who scored from the free-kick (far too many of which we're giving away, by the way)!? I have to say, up till 70 minutes, we played well. But Leeds were shocking, and we should have buried them way way way before they scored their goal.

Need to start being more disciplined. Cut out the silly free kicks. Stop sitting too deep. Stop panicking in front of goal. And stop letting awful hoofball teams drag us down to their level! (Which was much more of a problem on Tuesday than it was today). Feels like a loss 'cause we were so much better than them, and because we haven't taken advantage of Burnley, Barnsley, Hull and Luton losses.

Haven't taken advantage? We have albeit not a lot. We draw, they lose...sounds OK to me!

Well yeah, I suppose...but in the grand scheme of things I just didn't think a point was enough! We're two points off safety now and QPR still have that game in hand. We can do it if we tighten up a bit!

We looked nervous (especially in the 2nd half). Eastwood overhit his cross to JCR (1st half) and when Foran got set up by Bradbury (2nd half) he felt he needed that extra touch to make absolutely sure. I blame the midfield for Leeds' goal for not pressing the ball. A point which Clarke was making to Maher at the final whistle.
