If you had to injure an animal

Speaking to a pal of mine about the time he was a bit of a wrong'un in his yoof and that one day he trying nicking something from a corner shop and the asian chap let his Alsation onto him . He was getting severly ripped apart ....rightly so i may add , but he had a choice to make , so he used a full can of Fosters that he had in his theiving hands to crack the mutt right on the skull to get him off .

It worked as the dog let go of him and whimpered slightly before sitting down to see some stars floating around his head .

So as bad as it seems have you ever had to hurt an animal in so called self defence and if so how far would you go to fend it off ???

Obviously not advocating any form of violence as a result of wrong doing, particularly as it's kind of irrelevant here, but if it's a choice between you or a loved one and the dog then surely anything goes. There's been several cases of dogs attacking children, and I'm sure anyone in their right mind wouldn't think twice about kicking, punching, whacking any dog in those circumstances, to get them to let go of a child.

I thought this was going to be hurting an animal for the sake of hurting, like the idiots that fire pellets at cats for fun. That's completely different of course, I don't believe you should wilfully hurt a creature that's doing you no harm purely for fun.

Not into hurting animals as thats what the wife is for,god i love giving her a good spanking then making it better afterwards but since ive been in france i have killed the following.
2 bats
4 rats
2 deer
1 hawk
2 coypu
1 snake
2 glis glis
some because you have to and some by accident.Sorry to you wildlife lovers.

That must be one hell of a can of Fosters you have there to have killed all them animals ................hats off to you and your tinny mate !!

I committed an act of ho-mouse-icide as a mercy killing back in the '90s. My little Oscar - one cheeky playful dude of a cat (RIP) - had left this mouse in an alive but ravaged state. I couldn't save the mouse so I put him in a bag and took a wooden mallet to him. I didn't check but I'm sure it was no longer...

In any confrontation self defence is the primary concern

Once the threat has been neutralised one must then consider the damage to ones reputation.

If you are seen to be an easy touch then it will be seen as a sign of weakness and so it is always best to continue the beating until an apology is forthcoming.

I have found dogs and cats rarely apologise and have to be taught a lesson. Parrots and mynah birds are more sensible.

Killed a badger (I think) accidently by the stupid creature running into my bumper. At least I hope it died because it cost me over £200 to repair.

I wouldn't normally advocate hurting animals, however when I was but a lad I had a very frightening encounter with a neighbours Great Dane. The ****ing thing was the size of a Shetland ****ing pony, and it would put it's front paws on the top of their gate, which was about 5ft high and bark loudly at everyone. It used to scare the living **** out of me with its big slavering jaws and its way of dribbling about a gallon of saliva over you.

Desperate measures were needed, and luckily a mate of mine owned an air rifle, their house backed onto a field so hiding behind a convenient hedge gave us plenty of cover. The dog was scrabbling around in the garden and presented us of its rear view including a massive set of bollocks, which my mate couldn't miss. The sight of a vertical take off Great Dane will stay with me for ever, and it certainly stopped the ******* barking at all and sundry for a while.

Does fishing count for injuring an animal, if so then im really up the creak without a paddle. Also hit an owl (with the car) then ran over a rabbit 10 minutes later a few years ago. I was deverstated all the way home.
Also when in India a sacred cow went to bite me when I was walking down a street in Delhi I went to shoo it away and had to be led away from the area as the locals wanted to attack me.
