If you're still undecided

Matt the Shrimp

aka Harry Potter
...then this is a cracking website:

http://www.whoshouldyouvotefor.com/

All you do is answer the questions, which shouldn't take you too long - a couple of minutes tops. It then tells you who you should vote for.

Very clever! As usual it has picked out the two parties between which I usually find myself vacillating. Two parties of which, I'm pleased to say, my fellow Greenwich Shrimper would strongly disapprove.

But then that's cos he's a plank...

as expected, but I'm still undecided primarily because all the candidates in southend east dont fill me with confidence.

Who's standing, Naps?

It has to be a more interesting race than Greenwich & Woolwich, surely one of the dullest one-horse races in the country. Nick Raynsford has a majority of 14,000 plus and bagged over 60% of the vote last time out... It's as cast iron a Labour majority as they come, tant pis...

Garry Bushell, the bearded Sun columnist, is standing in our seat. I was more than a tad alarmed, however, when I did a google search on "garry bushell" and greenwich, for google to come up with (about 4th or 5th hit down) a white supremacist website. Scary stuff.

Ive already voted. Doubt it'll make much difference anyway

Funny, I filled in my answers and it suggested I voted for the Maher is God Party !

Lib Dem is some ex-mayor
Labour is a weedy looking IT bloke
Tory is a proper Tory careerist

I voted at 7am and was the second to vote at my polling station. Actually, when I got to southend east, the libe dem candidate was handing out manifestos and i told him id already voted and it wasnt for him!

It's a pretty flawed website. As far as I can see, it fails to distinguish between opposition to the EU Constitution and wanting out of the EU all together.

Anyway, I did it a couple of weeks ago and it came up with equal scoring for UKIP and the Greens....neither of whom I voted for this morning.

This website's interesting...tells you how your MP has performed over the last parliament: http://www.theyworkforyou.com/

Don't know whether that is a good or bad comment, but from having sat opposite James and his wife Katie all the way to and from Cardiff on the train for the LDV, I can say he is a top bloke.....

It told me to waste mine.........

Southend East is a done deal so I suppose I will not be able to change owt anyhow,

Well I saw Fred in Waitrose trying to canvas votes, yep those shoppers will be your target voters, think he should have tried Asda.

And then next day I saw James sitting with his family enjoying a cuppa and a burger at the Garons Garden Show. He was not in any political garb just jeans and a shirt and seemed to be happy to enjoy the sun. Surely if he was such a careerist he would have used the event to further his message??

Graham Longely, I know him as he is on the Community Centre Committee along with Tony North, however I have never seen him out and about and as he is located in Eastwood this is a good reason not to vote for him.

I also bumped in to John Croft from UKIP he looks like he should be in Emmerdale. He has a nice motor which is adorned with all his propaganda

Your actual outcome:

Labour -30
Conservative 54
Liberal Democrat -59
UKIP 37
Green -32

phew!

Hmm. Enjoying the sun being recognised by voters at a large garden show!

Oh and I've seen Longley three times now at Southend east in the morning. You must keep missing him.
