If we get the red light today....

Just been thinking today . If we get the red light tomorrow where does that leave us? I would imagine there is some appeal procedure in place , but in all honesty i cant really see that bearing much fruit.
Would we look to relocate elsewhere? Again i cant see this being to viable either as fossetts was seen to be the best of the best. Also i dont know the figures involved ,but how much do you think it has cost the club to get to this stage?
Could we stay at roots hall? Yes of course we could but we could never look to achieve anymore that what has already been achieved. How long would Ron and Tilly etc stick around knowing that the future has stalled?
Could we improve roots hall? Unlikely , but the way i see it you could only really improve the east and possibly north as the rest is crammed up against local housing.

I dont want this to be a negative post after all the positive today . For the record i think that we will get planning permision tomorrow (or after delays) and hope that the topics above do not need covering as without fossetts i think we are finished.

As a former military man, I intend to take up arms against the government. Anyone who wants to join me, bring a gun, a bottle and an LP.

I am with you on that one BAG. I say if we dont get the planning then we should all get tents outside parliment and stage a peaceful protest, if that fails then we should take the bull by the horns.

This is what I have posted before:-
If it is rejected, as far as I can tell the decision can only be reviewed if it is successfully challenged in the High Court because of a legal error.

The Inspectorates decision is FINAL but the developer can change the plans and make a new application to the Council!

In other words start the whole process over again

I'm trying to work out how it would be worded if it would be rejected - what are the key complaints against it? Surely with B&Q, the green belt consideration is gone. Surely the local support is at least balanced with local opposition.

What do we reckon could be put forward?

No not end of world, if No - just another challenge to be overcome/solved

Yes, exciting if green light, but restraint - keep eye on the ball as SUFC are a football club/team, not a property developer.

The pitch is where we do our business & hopefully we will in fact do the business.

Off to bed can't stand the waiting & need to be up 04.30.

Suspect the decision will be released across the Planning Inspectorate website [so that everyone notified at same time].

Keep the shampoo on ice, overnight.

We could go and torch :flamer: Cuckoo Farm in protest (or maybe do it if we get green in celebration). Whatever, they willonly need a third of its 10,000 capacity anyway.

i have whitney's greatest hits....

The second album, elegantly and imaginatively titled 'Whitney' will do nicely. Features 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody', 'So Emotional' and a host of other soulful pop gems. And 'Dook' by Genesis.
