If this game isnt 15 quid do you think..

You always seem so obsessed by ticket prices.

Surely if you love Southend you will pay whatever they charge for any game?

it's the first game after my brother finishes his west end theatre work so we will be there no matter the cost.

I think £15 is a decent price. If its anything more than that then the attendance will be pretty poor. Maybe a "keep your ticket stub" should be done for this one as a third priority. Might get a few more people down there esp as we have a better chance of drawing someone big in the next round if we get through.

Yep a £15 price plus £5 for kids would be nice. I also think you could be right with the going to ensure the possibility of being in with a chance of a ticket if we get thro and the lure of a big draw. But the Team Blues thing might have changed all that. Who knows. Reckon people would have missed the chance of the 1:00pm deadline tho.

Pricing and fixtures will be key. If its played too near the home game against Leeds then some people will be left with a choice....one or other game will suffer I am sure.

Any chance it can be played on the Friday as we have Leeds on the Monday, cannot remember why the Brighton game got switched back from Friday to Saturday

That's the spirit.

:D

Seriously though, we're playing a superior team so we should probably pay a bit more than usual.

Because Leeds objected that as they were playing on the saturday (luton away) we would have 24 hours more recovery time than them.

In the unlikely avent that luton shall knock out Liverpool in their replay then the luton v leeds game will be postponed and then we can play Barnsly on the friday night.

£15 is a fair price considering the opposition. Any more and i think SUFC are taking us all for a ride, and the Barnsley fans too.

My mate at work is a Spurs seaso' and he gets at least two free cup games every season for free. What a good deal that is i think.

TBH SUFC should follow suit with at least one free, they would still make money with programme sales etc, and food and drink. And it would make sure the ground is nigh on full.

would like it to be £15 but i think it will go back to £20 for this game. not really that bothere tbh. was really gutted that we didn't get a bigger match but heh nothing we can do. let just hope we beat these and get into the 5th round.

Why would they be 'taking us for a ride' charging normal price for a game where we're seeing a team from a higher division than usual?

The idea of a free game for STHs is fair enough mind.

Well, MY mate at work is a Spurs seaso who was a little annoyed at having to pay to watch a whole host of matches against inferior opposition last season after ticking a box when he handed in his season ticket request form. In fact, I imagine most Spurs fans couldn't care less about playing Southend at home in teh Cup and giving free tickets is the only way for them to continue the theory that only Northern clubs aren't interested in the cups :)
