If there was no more SUFC.

DTS

The Business
I would like to make it clear I am not insinuating in anyway that the HMCR will wind us up. It would be a disaster and I would cry forever.

Just talking hypoetically - Ifffff......The club was no more and no SUFC team was reformed what would you do with your saturdays. Would you be able to support another team or not.

Personally I think I would have one more crack at playing football week in week out for a side. When i was 17 I stopped coming to saturday games as I preferred playing (In fairness it was the Alvin Martin era).

If injuries took its toll I think I would go and watch Crawley on a saturday. I dont support them in any way, shape of form and I hate Crawley as a place but I like the lower leagues so much more than the plastic glory of the top sides.

I wouldn't support them as such, But I'd probably go and watch Spurs a fair bit. Few of my good mates are Seaso's and go up every home game and I've been offered to join them on more than a few occasions, but I much prefer to watch the club I support.

Plus, I could launch regular tirades of abuse at David Bentley. I caught him eating dinner at a restaurant last week. Pow, right in the kisser...

I'd start playing saturday's i think. And for the mid week games, i would sit in and watch the champions league instead. Don't get me wrong though, this wouldn't be anywhere near as good as watching SUFC and i would join DTS in crying forever...!

Go to the betting shop at 11.30am. Put my bets on. Be in the pub with a paper for 12pm. Drink lager. Have a fag. Drink more lager. Watch Gilette Soccer Special. Go to the betting shop and place a couple of bets on the live football match for that evening. Back to the pub for another beer and sit cheering on my live in play bets. Then meet up with my mates who are going out and drink at their pace even though I have been on the sauce all day. Wake up with a terrible hangover and about £100 out of pocket. Probably more as I would expect to have lost on the roulette machines in the bookies.

No word of a lie, but that is my exact saturday (when i can't go watch sufc)

Proper good times!

How could we compete with the likes of Man City, when the best we can offer new signings is a Mars bar, and an evening with Cricko?

Mars Bar - Ricketts

Evening with Cricko - Ashley Cole (backup to Scrounger)

Ah slow and steady wins the race Dave! Perhaps Sir Stanley C will dig his boots out to get SUAFC up the leagues.

If Southend united f c died, so would my love affair with football,i would go and watch the Harlequins.
