If OBD thinks he's so eclectic....

So how many songs are there currently on your Ipod/MP3 player.

MK: 9396 (and no ****ing Kooks).

I don't have an ipod. The battery died and i never bothered to get a new one.

I do have over 700 (cd) albums though.

I'm not helping myself here am I?

Ahh did you lose it whilst riding your hair dryer down to the local Vinyl Shop? :winking:

In reply to you MK Shrimper I cannot clarify as to how many songs I have on my iPod, oh by the way I have an iPhone aswell because I'm so bloody main stream, my home page on safari is Topman website, it's got every Kooks song on it ever created, and my background is Ferne Cotton, because she is my favourite DJ from my most favouriteist radio channel ever!

WOOHOO to the mother ****ing Mainstream!

But seriously off the top of my head I reckon I have about 8,000 songs that I could name (almost all) you who sings the songs I probably have about 14,000 or something songs on my 1TB hardrive which I bought from PC World (Main stream shop) It's made by Samsung I think, (another bit of my bloody mainstream coming out)...

The 14,000 include probably loads of instrumentals, Acappela etc for my bloody musical adventures! What about songs I've written we haven't even got to that have we :winking:

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it Mr 9396 Songs!

Oh by the way some of my songs on my mainstream smart phone and mp3 devices include artists like Nicki Minaj, Calvin Harris, The Wanted and other such bands that will make YOU LOT and Sinatra turn in his grave!

Anyway I'm off to go and hairspray my hair and watch interviews of Indie Bands whilst I clutch my mainstream phone!

Anal thread of the year alert

MK .. its QUALITY not QUANTITY me old son :winking:

I would go down the old "my dad is bigger than yours" route but seeing as mine lives in a little urn 6ft under i'd probably lose that one

i think i'm the most eclectic, as i probably dont like about an eighth of the music i own! (only joking, im not eclectic at all, nor claim to be, i like what i like)

I havent stuck a lot of it on my i-pod cos i simply cant be bothered, but on my laptop i use for dj'ing, there are over 4,500 songs, which includes having burnt on to it only about a quarter of the CD's i own (its probably about 65-35 in favour of cds vs downloads on there). I Reckon there are about 400 albums and 500 singles in my collection, although would guess that about 2-4% of songs would end up duplicated.
Theres also about 100 pieces of vinyl in a box on the floor, none of which are albums mind, mainly white labels and promos.

About 2000 cd's here and although I promise myself I wont buy any more old ones to add to it. I always do

used to have 15,000 songs, but ipod died in 2007 and they were on old PC. Now sold a lot of the other CDs, and now reloading CDs onto new laptop. Funnily enough, dont miss them.

And fortunately a good bit of Pink Toothbrush indie

4,742 songs on my iPod, but I'm still compiling playlists as there's space for much more.
29,700 songs in my iTunes library (also no ****ing ******** ******* Kooks, or any other dog**** British indie bands for that matter).

About 6,900 on the iPod, most important of which is Snooker Loopy by Chas & Dave and The Matchroom Mob.

In fact, I'm minded to delete all the other ones as Snooker Loopy pretty much provides all I could possibly wish for.

I used to have some Baker and Kelly podcasts on repeat. Always guaranteed a smile.

I should also add that I own another iPod solely for Chaka Demus & Pliers songs. They shouldn't have to share a device with anyone else.

Just come back from a holiday in the Lake District, with all the music played in the car from the 90s, and I agree with you. In fact I'd go so far as to say they shouldn't share a planet with anyone else either!*

*with the possible exception of Doop, and Betty boo!
