Huntley Guilty

Just been charged with the murder of Holly & Jessica...

Turns out he has at least 5 previous charges of child rape/molestation/assault and 2 charges of adult rape.

Maxine guilty of perveting course of justice, not guilty of assisting an offender...

I'll wait for Matts verdict! For some reason I still have an uneasy feeling about it and feel that Huntley has maybe been hung out to dry?

The only person that REALLY knows what happened is Huntley. Obviously the jurors have a lot more of the story and evidence than what any of us know, so they are in more of a better position to judge.

Biggest question now is how the f**k did he get a job at a school!?

Not correct! They were allegations, NOT charges.

Yea, sorry thats right - allegations - and there were NINE in total. The only one that had charges was a rape of a 19-year-old, charges which were later dropped.

He has been sentanced to 2 life sentances - still awaiting a sentance for Carr...

Yep... bit steep in light of the context of the charge - i.e. the jury are basically saying she knew nothing of the deaths, so she couldnt really of done anything about it.

Didnt think perverting the course' had such a heavy charge?!

If the jury have found him guilty, that's good enough for me. Hope the perverted murderer rots in jail for the rest of his days on this earth.

As for Maxine - she's a silly bint for getting involved with him. He's clearly a VERY nasty piece of work. Ordinary people don't have nine allegations of that nature put up against them.

Justice has been done and has been seen to have been done. May Holly & Jessica rest in peace, and may their parents find some solace in that the disgusting evil pervert should - will, I hope - spend the rest of his days behind bars.

I agree. The press were gagging for a guilty verdict whatever, as it would sell papers and is an emotive subject.

My personal gut instinct is that we may never know the whole truth, but I also get the impression the charge of murder was wrong. I think he may have been guilty of manslaughter, but not murder. Anyway, we have to trust the jurors.

P.S Carr's been given 3 1/2 years. If shes out after half the sentence, then she'll be out in, ooo 21 months. BUT, in leiu of the time she's already spent in the slammer, she might be out in less than five months (she's so far been locked up for 16 months.

Obviously Huntley is a sick individual and what he did was very wrong but there seems to be a competition as to who can appear the most outraged and who can portray Huntley as the biggest monster.

The media have been desperate to turn the murders into a sexually motivated act and because no evidence of any such deed emerged at the trial they have resorted to sensastionalism to do so.

To infer that there was any truth involved in the previous allegations of abuse and charges of rape is wrong because he was not convicted of these offences and prior to today had one conviction for burglary.

The press always behave this way, get over it.
It is very hard not to imply that there MAY have been a sexual motive involved in the girls death especially when we discovered the previous allegations. What other possible reason for their death could there be?
I think the charge of murder is spot on. Why anyone could think it should have been manslaughter is beyond me.

Are you the one on the jury that said he wasnt guilty by any chance?

I cant see how u can believe that it was man slaughter??? WHY WHY?
