Hull tickets being given to Mancs?!

I was talking to a blues fan in the pub this eve, ....He's got 3 tickets for the Hull game and is going to give 2 of them to Man utd fans who live in Southend so they can get tickets for next tuesday!!!!! (claimed they were for his bro in law and nephew!?) He couldn't understand why i got upset.....when i told him they should be going to blues fans he thought i was joking! how many others have done the same i wonder?

Complete joke and not much we can do!

A friend of mine has his man utd ticket already and he hasn't seem them/southend play in years and years!!!

Grrrrrrrrrr

I suggest that if anyone whist at the game vs man united thinks that they maybe sitting near a man united fan in disguise such as a man united shirt is partly visisble then you contact a steward and have them thrown out. i do believe that is against regulations that an away fan is sitting in the home ends.

Just the way the world is I'm afraid. If someone's willing to queue for as long as I did to get tickets and pay our club £30, a part of me says fair play. If they can get soemone else to do that, they've done even better.

Ideally, I'd like everyone in the home end to be a Southend fan but what can you do. In all honesty, I was tempted to get a ticket for a mate who's a Man United fan until I realised just how difficult that would be.

I know of plenty of people who have got Hull City tickets who wouldn't necessarily visit Roots Hall; I also know that most of them have no intention of going to the game tomorrow evening ("why would I want to watch that sh!te?")and have purchased the tickets simply to stand a chance of getting a ticket for the Manchester United game. That's the way of the world: they've used their initiative to stand a pretty good chance of acquiring tickets to see their own heroes in action - reserves or not ...

Who would I prefer the ticket to go to? A Man Utd regular or a Southend "fan" who hasn't been for 15 years. Tough call.
Answer is neither, I'd prefer it to go to me but work commitments look like precluding me from getting there Wednesday!

Anyone have any contacts with the club who could clarify this point would be great to see people oisted for being at the wrong end.......fair play to the odd one or two but if like some suggest it could be hundreds then lets apply the law

Its going to happen, people with tickets 'to go' will be more likely to give them to their Man U. mates then a Shrimper they have never met..
There will be a fair few neutrals there as well

for sure the odd one or two....even at Leeds but if there are numerous fans who reveal themselves if our defence were unfortunate to let one slip passed ...very unlikely i know but if they do eyes everywhere looking for stifled applause !

How can your friend have a Man Utd ticket and not seen Southend in years, the only people who have tickets for that game at the moment are Season ticket holders

You trying to tell me he holds a season ticket and never watches a game

Even if you have a Hull ticket your not guaranteed a Man Utd Ticket

Probably not. It's more likely that a season ticket holder who can't make the match has sold his ticket on.

Cant be many season ticket holders that cant make this one, most will do anything to change any previous appointments and even if I couldnt make it I wouldnt never in a million years sell my ticket to a Man Uinted fan as I stand to lose my season ticket if that fan got ejected

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure that we create a phenomenal atmosphere, singing our hearts out and booing Man Utd players. They can come sit in our end, but that doesn't mean we have to make it nice for them.

Besides, we may even turn a few of them. If they're feckless enough to support Man Utd when they're from Essex, they're feckless enough to turn.

& Gillingham.

Funny how theres only outcry when its done to us

Hopefully due to the fact that to get a ticket involves a 3 hour queue there wont be too many armchair Man Utd supporters there.
