When as a boy I first signed up as a shrimper, it was pointed out to me that this could be bad for my health and even worse for my nerves, however I was assured the plusses would far out weigh the negatives. Of course there are more bad days than good but I honestly wouldnt change a thing, I mean who wants to sit and watch premier league on telly not bothered about who wins and who loses.

We may all be hurting at the moment but hopefully this time next year we will all be celebrating promotion, who knows, but one things for sure I intend to stick around to find out. Life without Southend - unthinkable.

Gutted, but coming to terms with things.

One way of looking at it, had we gone up we'd have been 2012-13in league one, but would we have stayed up? We could well be 2013-14 back in league 2. Now, we've a chance to re-build, learn from errors, and hopefully play 2013-14 in league 1, and maybe 2014-15 too

Ok, clutching at straws, but it cheers me up at least
