I wouldn't bet on it.:winking:

I can't reply to your rep having already sent you one but as you've posted again I find it utterly abhorrent that you can be reveling in possibly the end of the career of a footballer whose only crime was to make you look like a tit last season.

No wonder you cop the abuse on here that you do.

Despite his scoring in each of the 3 games I saw him play in last season,I happen to believe he's a crap player. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it(incidentally we lost 2 and drew 1 of those home games).I'd be quite happy if I never saw him play for SUFC again.(It's quite true I lost a bet on how many goals he'd score last season but that's water under the bridge, as far as I'm concerned).
Whether that makes me a tit in your (or others eyes)I really couldn't give a monkey's.
As for revelling in the possible end of his career :nope: I made it quite clear in a post on the thread that you're referring to that I was merely joking.

See below.

And for what it's worth I would not wish the end of a career on any player whether I had seen him or not!

Nor would I.It was meant as a joke,honest.:winking:[/QUOTE]

I feel a bit down but basically philosphical as I'm a Blues fan of long standing. Looking forward to next season and happy to use the ignore button so I haven't a clue what BarnaBlue is saying but know it will be shi te

I said you were revelling in the possible end of his career, which you clearly are. I didn't say that you hope he never plays again - although your posts and rep imply it.

Come on guys, this has gone :off topic:

Back to the thread -

I'm a bit sad and disappointed but was over the result by 11 o'clock last night. It's age that does that, plus the fact that I've been supporting Blues for 43 years and have seen it all before so, to paraphrase Monty Python, I'm getting used to it now.

Really, we'll be back. Supporting Southend isn't just for Christmas. Bad analogy there really as we usually play rubbish in the festive games...

I remember one season pre internet, mobile phones etc but someone had a portable radio with an ear phone. We needed to win to stay up and another team had to lose (was it Reading?). That team were 2-0 down at half time. We won and then the news came through and the other team had won 4-2. The reaction of most was "bugger". Then "well we'll probably do better in the fourth next season". Chin up everyone, worse happens at sea.

That sounds like Chester City 88/89 season

Yep, remember it well, I only heard via the stadium announcer at the end of the game when he read out the score while we were all on the pitch feeling pretty confident we'd stayed up.

And "bugger" has been my facebook status all day today.

Football doesnt usually effect me the next day, but this has, feel so down. Its good to come on here and know others feel the same, that makes me feel a bit better. As someone else said, its not the missing out on promotion that hurts most, its missing out on a trip to wembley.

Wembley is overrated, just think we get to play Wycombe, Exeter, Chesterfield and Rochdale next season:smile:

It's not over-rated. I think Wembley is great. I am taking comfort though in the knowledge that missing Wembley for the Play-offs will mean I'll have another couple of hundred quid in my pocket for Euro 2012 though.

Last night I felt completely drained, gutted, frustrated, angry, jelous, bitter, sick and homicidal.

Today I feel frustrated, disappointed, optimistic about next season, pessimistic about next season and intrigued about the off season goings on.

Roll on next season.

I was being sarcastic I would chop of my wife's two arms to be there.
