Thought it might be interesting to see who has spent the most dosh on following the mighty Blues this season (so far). I doubt anyone has spent more than our noble chairman who goes to all the away matches in a car that does about two miles to the gallon.

But who is going to come second ?

Coaches don't come cheap I'm affraid, then again; when you follow Southend nothing else maters.

I havent been to many away games this season as i would have liked , but thankfully the mrs and work have put paid to some of the dross i would have witnessed.

Probably spent maybe £6-700 home and away.

I wont be doing the same next season for a number of reasons

£350 on season tickets and £200 on two trips to Accrington to start with

Only done 5 other aways this season, Aldersh!t (and that was only because i was in Hampshire to watch Essex play in the morning) Gillingham, Macc, Burton & Rotherham as for some reason i can't quite put my finger on i just can't warm to this lot

Probably about a grand all in

I spend on average £200 on away days and home games can average from £40 on a night game to £300 on a saturday

I think I would spend around just over 10k a year on football this ovbiously includes travel drink gambling etc...

Most of that on etc.. i'd say :nope:

I have been to two home games this season, and spent a grand total of £0...freebies are the way forward, particularly when you don't want to give any money to the crook.

Away, I've been to Bury, Burton, Rotherham, Morecambe and Lincoln. On the whole, given that I was already in Sheffield for Rotherham and Morecambe, I reckon i've spent £300. Train travel at £12 return for Lincoln, Bury and Burton is the way forward.

£300 on a season ticket, £40 on a shirt, 2x Home cup games (Can't remember how much the tickets were, let's call it £25 for the pair) and then away trips to Barnet (JPT) as well as Bradford and Barnet in the league. Didn't pay for travel to the Barnet games as I have my rail season ticket, so they were cheap games at about £40 incl. ticket and beers. Bradford was long weekend, so spent about £200.

£605 in total there, but I tend to spend about £20, maybe £30 on home games to cover a few drinks before, during and after games. £25 x 23 = £575, so added to that it's a total of £1180. I'd love to get to more away games, but as I'm moving soon I've had to seriously cap my spending.

Scott am sure the question was how much of your own money do you spend!!! :winking:
How much have you spent on crisps, cakes, biscuits & drinks for the coach?!!

Not as much as air fresheners :hilarious:

I dont spend anywhere as near as I used to now am getting the coach to away games but maybe £60/70 away day and £30/40 on a game only become tight as am trying to save

  • £325 on Season Tickets
  • Being an exile, about £275 on travel to home games
  • Away days, approx 15 @ £50 each (Programme, match ticket & fuel/train fares) approx £750
  • Cup home games approx £25
  • Blues Lottery £103.92
  • Club Shop - replica shirt, shorts (not worn together) and other paraphenalia £80/90
Roughly £1500 before beer & Food. This also doesn't take into consideration the costs of taking my daughter either.

It's not a cheap hobby.
