How Far Have You Walked

BoyWonder2

2024, the year of the Shrimpers ⭐🦐
Just thought I'd ask the question following my little walk last night. Went out on the lash big style (Champagne and Red Bull) in Chelmsford for my birthday and not wanting to fork out stupid money for a taxi and having all but one of my mates leave my and my mate walked from Dukes to Cold Norton.

So, how far have you walked?

My first night at uni back in the states my friends and I ended up at this party on the other side of town.  I have no idea how long the walk was in terms of miles, but we left the party at 1:30am and got back to campus just before 5am.

(BTW, happy birthday BoyWonder2)

Southend to Hockley a couple of times. Brighton town centre to uni accommodation in Coldean (about the same distance) more times than I care to mention.

Walked from Storm nightclub in Southend back to Shoebury once. Legs felt like lead the next day and my feet were sore. I am unfit.

I did something similar after last season's Trust POTY awards night,
ended up going to a club with the players and the legendary Harry Barris, however after much drink I decided to leave the club to go home, I cannot remember much about the journey except ending up nearly a mile past my house practically comatose but Harry and TFS managed to find me took me home. Needless to say the wife was not impressed.

I've done about 2 miles over in Ireland practically drunk, and i've done about the same in Basildon and in Southend.

Walked from Southend Town Centre to Ninja's near the Angel at Shoebury, although we did go via his parents at about 3am in the morning broke into the garage and got a bike out (we nearly got attacked by his mum).

Once walked from Aviation Way to Benfleet in a drunken stooper as well.

Zero 6 back to Hockley more times than i care to remember many moons ago.

From Cheltenham town centre up Cleeve hill to Winchcombe once during the festival which as WCS will probably vouch for is f**king miles.

Southend to Shoebury regularly....it's amazing how a bracing walk along the Easten Esplanade used to sober you up after a night in The Esplanade!

I was so out of it one night it took me two hours to walk from Dreams on the seafront to my house next to Thorpe Bay station!
