Why don't you just download it through BitTorrent or some sort of illegal downloading program, all for free?!
 
He could download it, burn it to disk and voila. Play it on your big TV :D

How long do you find it takes to download a film from Bittorrent? It seems to take bloody ages (eg leaving it running over night etc), however an album can be down in a couple of hours.

Is there anyway to speed it up? (Bar getting the world most powerful pc)

Nowt to do with the power of your PC - depends on how many peers you can connect to throughout the world. Many people delete the files once they've been burned to DVD so they don't risk a knock on the door from Mr. Plod.

And seeing as an album in generally 10 times smaller than a film it's no surprise that it's a lot quicker.
