Morphine is fantastic!!!!

I had a new tattoo done yesterday and foolishly had part of it going over a bullet wound. It hurt a lot but I thought it would stop. At 2am it became unbearable and I went to A&E. They told me I was very silly, but I was willing to take some stick for a healthy dose of morphine. I may post in a slightly eccentric manner today.

In my dark days I use to take morphine to get high - Zydol they were which is Tramadol Hydrochloride make you all nice and numb if you take 6 and have a good beer also it is not illegal to be in possession as far as I know even though its a synthesised opium compound

Note: I don't condone anybody doing this ever! not big and not clever! despite of what I thought at the time.

Karl.....what was the didg you got done??

What's a didg? A didgeridoo? Am I being stupid here, or is Dave's eccentric spelling kicking in?

Is it Voodoo man from Live and Let Die?

It's an adaptation of the VAK 112 symbol, part of the Ajax F-Side. We had to give him a voodoo hat to cover up an old tat that looks sh!te. I love 'Live and Let Die', mainly for Roger Moore's powder blue safari suit.

Well that at least explains a lot today then!

Hmm, yes, well! Never had morphine but can quite recommend the old gas and air though.

Who on earth was silly enough to shoot you, BAG?

Bloody Fuzzy Wuzzies Old Boy! (Joke!!!! I've alienated enough people today).

Just a scratch Slipper, a mere flesh wound. I got shot in the shoulder by an Iraqi Freedom Fighter. God bless him.

Got to agree on the Morphine, I cracked a couple of Ribs playing 5 a side and ended up in Whitechapel hospital. They gave me self administering Morphine and i was flying. Little press every 5 mins done the job.

Unfortuntely, Morphine is one of those pain killers that the effects do wear off quite quickly which is in contrast to other opioid analgesics unless you have the special slow release form.

I am really surprised that they prescribed as they are not a first line pain relief.

They are also known for causing severe constipation.
