Hertha Berlin

The Big Dady

¡Viva la Kevolución! ⭐️ ⭐️
Just found this

A 3-1 victory over Southend United in 1910 brought much attention to the Berlin-based club having defeated a team from the birth place of football.

Bit before my time, but I did not realise that! :)

Our name can be found on a piece of engraved glass in their club museum can't it?

Why do you think that, have you been to the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and seen it?

I was disapointed to find out that this was the first time ever (4th.May.1910) an English Professional Team (Southend United) had be beaten by a German side (Hertha BSC Berlin) away from home, or infact any team on the European continent. :(

As I said in my previous this is infact true. Somebody I believe on here as a picture of this but I can't remember who

FC Southend United. I quite like the sound of that. Good find though.

Great pic of the bearded me in that old thread ;)

Just reading through the old thread....with even the likes of Swindon playing European opposition, given how prestigious Hertha obviously hold their victory over us, surely a match there pre-season would be a possibility.

Also, Uxbridge.....Could you not have fitted anything more into your pockets?!And why did you feel the need to take the popular board game 'Operation' to a football match...? :)
