just to talk about the lee barnard saga, ive heard rumours that we are going to offer you 350k for both barnard and mCcormack with also our neil harris going in the opposite direction to you lot ?

would be very sad to harris go, scored many important goals for us over the years

also barnard seems like a great player but aint he quite injury prone?

anyone heard this or is it just minorly a rumour

Always have rumours of Harris heading to Southend, he's an Eastwood boy(oakwood area) and think he played for rayleigh boys.

Unfortuntaley, would rather had him a few years ago though!

350k for both? I wouldn't take 350k for Barnard alone. Neil Harris is a local lad so I can believe that. Barnard has been injury-prone in the past but he worked on his fitness over the summer and this season he's been fit as a fiddle.

leeds will probably beat us two lee barnard
but im almost certian the mCcormack deal is on.

It has been mentioned numerous times before, but would doubt we would have Harris (I hope we don't!) Macca was close to leaving in the last window, but it fell through for whatever reason. The reasons ranged from he want to go, RM moved the goalposts (that would explain his lack of goals!) to the clubs couldn't agree a value which is linked the first reason!

I was told a reason from a good source & a non-golfer & would expect him to leave unless things at the club have drastically changed!

to be fair im not being biased at all but his a class act and you can gurantee his heart will be in it for you lot, because he supported southend as a boy i persume? just like he built up alot of love for millwall

That's likely to be £500,000 for Barnard and we pay you £150,000 for taking McCormack and his salary off our hands.

I remember thinking that a few years back when he was at Gillingham and missed an open goal from 5 yards out, but maybe he was just being a closet Shrimper and deliberately missing, in which case fair play to him.

While I tend to agree about Harris, we've had the problem with Dougie Freedman which hasn't worked for us. Therefore Tilly may not want another striker nearer the end of his career than the beginning. Also and again I'd say (historically) Millwall are a bigger club than us it's still a sideways move. And with at least 6 better teams than Millwall in this division then he'll still be at this level next season.

Also a Millwall supporting friend of mine says that the Lions also have debts of upwards of 4 million quid.

he is never past it, to mention him in the same context as freedman is a joke they are a class apart.

saying that about his miss for gillingham, he only ever really seemed to perform for millwall and has scored many goals for us over the years!
he would be a good signing for you, his already got 12 goals for us this season and has been injured for the last 2 months and that is a very good return!

would be very sad to see harris go though, his an absoulete legend at millwall.

I read some where that Millwall are trying to get him to extend his contract and one of the option he is also considering to moving his family out to Australia - so i think any move to Southend will dead in the water

Whenever the Harris rumours have come up over the years I've said that I hoped it wouldn't happen as he seemed to be past it. He's well and truly rolled-back the years this season though.

He fits the Tilly-profile for a signing though, being a local lad and a hard-working Pro. I can see us being interested if we can get Freedman off the books.

this is wrong. I was speaking to neil hariss at the darts on monday at the ally pally after the orient game and the whole millwall squad was there i haad a good 10 minute conversation with Harris and he said he would love to sign for southend becasuse he supports the club and used to watch them as a kid but he is very close friends with Tilson and acording to harris Tilson doesnt sign players he is friends with away from his managerial life.

And he said next season he is looking to play abroad
