Old Firm pair Celtic and Rangers are tracking Bournemouth striker James Hayter. - Sky Sports this morning

Dont worry though chaps, we will still be getting Jevons.

We are talking Rangers & Celtic, here. Frankly, they could afford to fly him from Bournemouth every day (and it's less than two hours' flight from Bournemouth to Glasgow...)

Although he doesnt want to move up north, The Old Firm represent a different kettle of fish form the League one or Champ sides who may be interested.

Dunno if we do need Jevons, depends what version of Wayne Gray we will see for the rest of the season.

However, I am pretty sure we will be signing Jevons within the next week.

Hayter's a great player but it shows you how tight cash is now in the SPL that they're looking at league 1 players. It also shows how low they've sunk in the pecking order of British football. (stifles laugh....!) Love to see the Jambos overhaul Septic this season.

Rangers may be looking to replace Lowerkrands as he keeps getting slapped by weedgy soapdodgers from the green half of Glesgae. Suttons already gone, thought Glasgow was on the windup when he first posted about this. Can you imagine if he decided to come to us instead...... it'd be priceless

A kettle of fish that I can't get my head around - I've never understood why anyone (other than Scots) would want to play their football in Scotland.

I could dine out on this for weeks if Hayter chose Roots Hall over Paradise or Castle Greyskull!

Already winding loads of old-firm fans up about their pathetic showing in the Win a Player for your Club thing. Rangers had less that 1/6 of our votes when I checked this morning!

How about the fact that mediocre English players who would only just scrape Sunderland's 1st XI are almost guaranteed European (probably Champions League) football each season as well as a higher salary than they probably could command down south?

Yeah, I understand there are a lot of unambitious breadheads in the game - I personally can't understand anyone resigning themselves to playing for nothing more than payday though.

Bloody hell, it looks like everyone is after Hayter. Here's a story in the Bournemouth Daily Echo linking Hayter to Bristol City:

City Plan Hayter Bid

Out of interest, if Bristol City landed Hayter, do you think their interest in (and/or budget for) Jevons might decrease...?

My thoughts exactly.

Jevons has agreed to sign for us.

Bristol Titty turn their attention to Hayter.

Here's hoping...

It does sound pretty hopeful. If we pull this one off it will be a massive statement of intent by Tilly and Big Ron. Fingers crossed - another day of no work and constant internet surfing!!

Hmmm interesting, maybe our very own new boy Mr Efe Sodje could be lending a hand in helping things along aswell??....
