Hattrick week 3

Matt the Shrimp

aka Harry Potter
4-1 home win, although an utterly sh*te gate (35K?!) to punish me for the cup exit. Very irritating. Still, a good win that puts me second in the table and means that, fingers crossed, I may have a better season this season.

Sold last week's YP for £179K, happy with that. This week's YP will go for rather less, but he's still a good prospect who's getting training and selling for free...

James MacCutchen [playerid=145284729]
18 years, passable form, healthy

A pleasant guy who is temperamental and honest.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Nationality: England
Total Skill Index (TSI): 730
Wage: 453 £/week
Owner: Southend United Football Club

Stamina: poor Goalkeeping: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: weak
Winger: solid Defending: wretched
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: disastrous

Lost 3-2, which means I've lost all 3 games by one goal this season. Decided to try by a formidable defender to try decrease the gap between me and other sides.

Won 4-2 Away, Top of the league.

We lost, again! 2-0 this time but no great surprise as we can only post wretched (low) midfield with all our new trainee midfielders (yes, I'm training IM's now!).

Picked up a mythical goalkeeper today, picked up 8 stars which was handy and should give me enough in defence to be able to counter attack even when playing 3-5-2 for training. Didn't see the effect on defensive ratings today as one of my defenders got injured early doors and was replaced by a 1 star winger! Wages for keepers aren't so bad, £33.7k per week is reasonably managable.

Now onto the cup game, will be hoping my defender recovers from his +1 injury but as he's 30 I'm not overly confident! Hoping to get through with or without him.

Does anyone know what age players stats start deteriorating?

4-0 PiC cruise against a bot

- another easy game for me next week before the real toughies kick in

Beat my only rival 4-2 despite missing 2 pens

Avoiding defeat at his place should see me promoted to level IV as long as there are no nasty suprises round the corner

I've got 3 players up for sale.

Gerry Bucknall, a 22yo brilliant striker with solid winger - so ideal for forward to wing. As his English his wages are cheap as a bonus. I think he's got technical speciality as well. I listed him last night for 0, so get bidding.

Also listed are two excellent defenders Thomas Risgaard and Nicolas Melinte. Both are club legends having seen me through two promotions and scored a barrett-esque number of goals for defenders, they are listed for £85,000 each.
