Harry Crawford - Ireland Under 18s?

I was pleased to see a few weeks ago that young Harry had been called up to Rep of Ireland under 18s for a couple of friendlies this week. The story was on the OS here: http://www.southendunited.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10444~2036472,00.html

I went onto the FAI website to check for more details and his name is nowhere to be seen! However another one of our youngsters, Kane Ferdinand, has made the trip.

Anyone know what's up with Harry? Has he decided to try for England instead?

I don't think that it matters whether he decides to play for their Under 18s. It only matters if it is the first team.

I reckon that we should send someone to look at Ferdinand (and Crawford if he is actually playing) and maybe Paudie Quinn and Jordan Keegan, who are unattached as we need to start signing players as soon as possible.

It turned out Harry Crawford was actually too old for Under 18s ...I think the FAI were the most shocked out of everyone to hear he'd been called up ;)

Means there's still hope for him yet partnering Rooney this summer though!

He is 18 now, so would be too old, but I thought it was based on his age at the start of the season (which he was 17 and would be eligible to play).
