Hanging a flag at Roots Hall

Hello people,

Well, I've managed to purchase a 3' x 5' Canadian flag which I'm planning on bringing to RH this saturday with the intention of hanging it somewhere it will be highly visible (Like over the side boards of the East stand???). Does anyone have any tips for a) where the best place to hang it would be, b) what I need to properly hang a flag as I've never done it (I have 3 1" holes going across the top of the flag, and 3 zipper straps) and am wondering what there is to strap it to at RH. Please get back to me as I'd love to fly the flag and show everyone that the Shrimpers truly do have international support.

Cheers

you be lucky to hang it over any boards in the East due to the adverts,

but if you do manage to find a gab small enough for it use tape, iv always got tape with me incase i cant get it over the seats and you cant hang it from anything

otherwise speak to Smiffy about having it in the North West corner

Good luck and safe trip

NW Corner will be the best place...cant see the cobblers bringing more than 500 ...... More improtant though is have you purchased your ticket yet ?

Yep, the only place you will be able to have it on display will be in the NW corner...

If this is of interest, let me or Cricko know and we will sort it out for you Jeremy.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the help. Sure, the NW corner sounds fine, and no, I haven't yet purchased a ticket as I might end up coming with a couple friends from Romford but they haven't decided yet so I was just planning on getting one the day of. Haven't had a problem with this before, and I'd imagine this game will be no different?

Smiffy, sounds good let me know what I need to do, as I said I have the flag and 3 zipper straps.

Hi Jeremy,

Yep the NW corner is the only place...Smiffy and Cricko were very helpful the last match i went to, as were the stewards in the West, who took us down to block X and let us put our 9ft Irish flag wherever we wanted.

Always good to see a fellow exile heading to the Hall - top effort mate!

Can Smiffy and Cricko please PM me so we can sort something out? I'm really looking forward to this weekend!

Cheers

Jeremy
