Looks like a drop kick to me? Maybe he was meant to kick it from the ground that would have been harder than a drop kick?

technically a drop kick is when you drop it and it makes contact with the ground just as you kick it.

That said, could you imagine the negative publicity the company would get if they didn't pay out considering how it's been all over the news?
