Last group, top two go through.

Bluesmike61 - Eastwood's debut goal vs Swansea in just 8 seconds.
Csboy - Everton away 1992 we were riding on a crest of a wave at the time just beaten Newcastle 4-0 and even though we lost the game 1-0 we totally dominated Everton.
Kevin Hogg - Coming back from 0-2 down against Newport County in the dying minutes, to win 4-2 and take an important step towards eventual promotion in 1977/78.
BlueBlood - Away at Leyton Orient Details to follow

Ouch, a tough group for me this :'(

Ok now i know i've spouted my little bit about all the entrants in all the groups up to now i'm sure you'll forgive me for just mentioning the one this time around (even if i was at all 4 nominations once again )

Saturday January 20th 2001 and for a reason known only to Barry H£arn and Leyton Ooze our fixture at Birdbrain Road wasn't all ticket for visiting fans, we'd taken really good numbers the previous two seasons despite occupying lowly league positions but this time we were up in the play off shake up and with Bengal only being 35 miles from Southend it makes that decision all the more laughable

I went up on an early train and the Coach & Horses was packed to capacity some hours from kick off and with virtually every food outlet along Leytonstone High Road having long queues of Shrimpers outside i decided to head to the ground early to try to get a decent seat .. i got in around half two and already the queues outside the away turnstiles were excessive, IIRC the little paddock in front of the away seats had been converted to seating since the year before further limiting the capacity .. still fans poured in and finally the police took the decision to move everyone without a seat to the big terrace at the far end and split the traditionally home end with some hazard tape and bobbies .. it was estimated some 3000 made the trip (this was before the Tilly led revolution that saw attendances treble in just a couple of seasons (the crowd for the win over Swansea a week earlier had been 3800) .. as for the match, it was a fairly tame affair till Ben Abbey struck twice in a couple of minutes mid way through the second half to hand us the win, i think the queue for the tube station after started right outside the exits

None if us who were at that memorable home match against league leaders Swansea, back in October,2004,will ever forget that amazing day. A new name was on the team sheet-- a certain F Eastwood. He had just joined us from Grays, having been a product of the West Ham youth system.

It didn't take long for Freddy to make his mark on his league debut-- just 7.7 seconds to score,in fact! A record that surely will never ever be beaten! For those of us thinking that this was a flash in the pan,Freddy went on to score a hat-trick,on his league debut, remember! We beat Swansea 4-2.

So,on that glorious day nearly 7 1/2 years ago,an instant hero was discovered. In my view that day was the start of an era that was to prove the most exciting period in our recent history.

And it all started in less than 8 seconds!

Vote Freddy.

UTB

Gave me goosepimples reading this. A day the sparked the next 5 years of very good history.

Bah Freddy only played cos Tes Bramble injured his thigh whilst deputising for the red carded Flahavan verses Boston in the week

Fate ??

i think must have only been 7 or 8 at that Newport game, if i remember right Gerry Fell scored 2 cracking free kicks

Bit of a weak group this one for me, gone for Freddy's debut hattrick simply because it was the start of a special period in our history.

Do remember listening to the Everton game on the radio at the time and bursting with pride that we were playing so well, went ballistic when we hit the bar thinking we'd scored.
