Time for group 3, I have a feeling which one will get the most votes. Remember the top two go through.

Ricey - The play off final 04-05 vs Lincoln when Duncan Jupp scored.
MK Shrimper - Eastwood freekick against Manchester United
Southchruch Groyney Mark Warren putting us 3-1 up at Swansea after we were down to 8 men
yogi bear up the cagire - Our 2-0 FA Cup Third Round win at Swindon, January 1969,

Duncan Jupp. Came from absolutely nowhere, unselfish ball from Eastwood, and promotion was assured. It was a wonderful moment.

Mark Warren's goal against Swansea gave us a piece of history (how many times have eight men scored against 11?) Ok, Eastwood's goal against Man U also did, a 100% record against them, but it also hastened the departure of Freddie (not to mention his play between that goal and his leaving was hardly what we expected)

Play off final 04-05, yes, great moment, but will it be remembered in 30 years time? I'd argue not as much as Warrens goal.

One final reason for the Swansea game. We were playing terribly at the time, had not long previously sacked Wignall, and although improving were rank outsiders in the game. That goal was, for me, the culmination of 90 (+4) minutes of refusing to give up, and gave me (and I'm sure others, incl;uding the team) belief that we could avoid relegation

As for the final choice, sorry Yogi, I wasn't born when that game took place, so can't really compare it.

Interesting that its just Freddys goal nominated and not the whole match, of course it was a sublime strike and a moment i'll never forget but at the time it didn't feel like a winner (obviously)

Juppys goal did, there were only ten minutes left so as soon as the ball hit the net i KNEW we were up and i simply couldn't hold back the tears of joy

Did not see any of these live but the playoff and Freddys goal on live TV

Have to go for Duncan Jupps goal as I only caught the end of the game in a pub in Falmouth (my two favourite ones for satellite TV were not showing it) after convincing the staff that no one was actually watching the rugby on another channel. When DG scored I managed to punch the ceiling - so quite memorable.

Freddys goal was obviously memorable as well

The play off win was great, but we will get promoted again. I've been fortunate enough to see a few promotions in my relatively short time supporting the Blues (short time compared to Cricko), but only once have we beaten the Champions. I am pretty sure I will never live to see us beat the reigning champions of England again, with world class players such as Ronaldo and Rooney in opposition. But promotions, I expect to see a few more of those over the years (unfortunately this means suffering relegations too).

For me, the Eastwood goal is a genuine once in a lifetime experience, one that will live long in the memory. In ten years, barely anyone will talk about that Jupp goal (unfortunately), but you only have to go back 40 years to know this is true, I always hear about the famous DRAW against Liverpool in 79, but seldom do I hear about the promotion two seasons later, I only know we were Champions, I wouldn't know who scored the goal in which game to seal that Championship. The Liverpool game lives longer in the memory, despite the promotion being the greater achievement (a seasons work as opposed to one nights). This to me confirms that these one off games against the giants of football are individually the greatest moments, and the one's that fans talk about again, and again, and again.

Edit: Having consulted my copy of the excellent 'A Century United', I see it was a goal-less draw with fellow promotion chasers Lincoln that sealed the Championship - I guess that may be why it's not talked about as much as the likes of Benjy, Gray & Juppy's goals.

Both Eastwood's and Jupp's goals are two moments of quality, utterly memorable for any true fan and I expect both to make it through easily here. Have gone for the Man Ure goal because it gave us headlines around the world (thanks Slip!), for a few short moments any football fan knew that a little old club called Southend had beaten the might Man U.

Good post Wes, but i'm pretty sure the 1981 Championship was sealed by Alan Moodys second half penalty verses Rochdale

I was at the Swindon game and it was a great day out and one hell of a result against Don Rogers,John Trollope et al.
Had to vote for Freddy's goal against MU though.I saw the game in the Philharmonic Pub in Barcelona, proudly wearing my LDV Final top,the only Shrimper there in a room full of shellshocked Manure fans.
Saw the playoffs final in the same place when sadly only me and a Cambridge United supporting mate were there to see Jupp's cracker.

One of the greatest goals ever scored. It sends shivers down my spine everytime I watch it. A player like Jupp who had played nearly 120 minutes of football turns out that blistering speed to rocket down the wing and slot the ball away to secure promotion to League One. An amazing moment!
