March - training pitches renovated

10th September 2024 - planning permission obtained for 9 cabins on training ground

West Stand Bar capacity doubled

East Stand - Far Post Bar air-con installed
Blues Legends and Captain’s Bar refurbished
Sky Sports added to bars

23rd September - groundwork contractor due to commence work on training ground - appears to be underway. Portacabins delivered 8th Nov

30th November - groundwork contractor due to complete works on training ground

By Christmas- hope to have container unit bar at back of West Stand - subject to alcohol licence

Also hope to have half of North Bank back - an additional 1400 capacity - sort of , as done for Charlton not yet for home fans l https://www.southendunited.co.uk/news/2024/december/20/solopress-north-bank-update/

End of Jan 2025 - training ground should be fully operational moved in 10th April

Anyone know what the latest is on the training ground?

Was due to be completed by the end of the month and it’s the 28th.

I’m a little surprised the club hasn’t set up tours to show them off if they’re nearly done.

Similarly what about the floodlights?

Would be good to get a little Tour. I remember when they did similar when the new pitches were freshly seeded.

I thought the floodlights were tons better last night, not sure if these have had their full upgrade or not but certainly seemed better.

I believe the supporters group meeting is tonight but it's not one I attend myself. It's chaired by Ken from BOT, who did used to post on here.
