Gray to Orient

Wrong section!

I bet he scores against us first game of the season.

We should of never let him go..

Big mistake that one.

He will come back to haunt us on Aug 11th, you just know it.

So we shall be seeing Wayne Gray the new pele sooner than thought this season. I'll still give him a good reception even if he has joined the scum!

I wonder if Tilly thought of bringing him back - probably not though.

I liked Wayne Gray but he is a "has been" now, in Southends eyes anyway. I dont understand why people talk so much about bringing players back etc. They were sold/wanted to leave at the time for a reason. We shouldnt live in the past, onwards and upwards now.

Maybe but compared to what we brought in last season i would have preferred to have kept Gray. That’s my opinion though and others will no doubt differ.

Lets hope Tilly can find a centre back with some pace then.

But Gray has to be bothered to run before the CB needs pace. And half the time when he was with us this didn't seem to be the case...

He's an average striker at this level and should do OK at Borient, especially since he's better than anyone else they have. At least they'll score all their penalties with him around.

Oh yes I can agree with that, maybe looking back we should have kept him. Thing is, once a player moves on, very rarely will they be bought back, like I said they leave for a reason, things are hardly ever the same second time round.

I agree, he may not better since when he left but he showed he could score in this divison for both us and Yoevil. As long as he doesn't score for them on the first day of the seaons i'll have no problems who he plays for. :)

He won't score against us, it's always og's against the O's.:(

I hope he still gets a good reception when he comes back, I still love the bloke for that goal against bristol to win the league, as well as being important part of back to back promotion squad

I shouldn't think he'd get a bad reception, I for one am thankful to him for the part he played in our promotion seasons.

Yeovil have fallen apart from the look of it, lots of players leaving.

Think its good move for him, will get regular football and they need a striker.

Wouldnt want him here and it was the right thing for him to leave when he did but wish him well, other than against us...

I'll give him a decent reception if he's not playing, but if he's playing I'd rather try and knock his fragile confidence. He is a real confidence player so I would rather tell him he is the re-incarnation of Dr*we Br**ghton, so that he mopes about on the floor instead of running at our defence.

Yep, whether people like him or not he has a place in our history for scoring the goal which sealed the L1 title.

But don't score against Wayne, all right!
