I used to play a little.
Should Mark Gower be dropped for the Orient game on Friday and why?

I feel with only a few games left providing that the other players have confidence in his ability then he should be in.

I think he should be dropped, he's been playing poorly and giving Nicolau or Guttridge a go could breathe some life into the side as they go into the last 5 games. I wouldn't be too bothered if he was kept in, though, because he's a great player he's just having a bad run of form.

Wowzers. Lots of polls today.

I think the problem with Gower is that, while he's undoubtedly got great talent at this level, his physical attributes let him down a bit and maybe he's just starting to feel the effects now of a long season. Also think Freddy's been looking slightly jaded of late, but then again i heard he's been carrying a bit of a knock and obviously this is only his first full season of professional, league football.

In terms of changing the team, what tilly's done a few times is bring mccormack in to centre mid, moving bentley over to the right, although that's perhaps slightly negative. it would be nice to get a proper view of guttridge, see what he's made of. i guess, at the end of the day, we're all nothing more than keyboard pundits, while tilly's the man in the position to make value judgements about these kind of things. what is good tho is that we do have options now.

Nope, I dont care if the team have to carry him for most of the match, because in just a second he can do something and set up a goal or score himself, like at Bristol Rovers away in the LDV.

Agree with fella above ...

I think he has to be dropped for one, maybe two games, just to show that
Tilly won't keep on leaving a player in the team even if he's playing badly. Also, I think Guttridge looks very promising from the few glimpses we've seen of him and he needs to be given a go.

Could be a risk seeing as Guttridge will not be match fit given that he hasn't completed 90 mins of first team football for a rather long time... how long i don't know... stattos?

Yes, think Gower should be dropped, he hasnt really hit the form he knows and we know hes capable of!

Guttridge has been doing good for the reserves and looked good when he has come on, so i think he should start.

If anyone should replace him it should be Nicky to give the team something called balance !

Even if Marky Gower doesn't think so, he needs a rest and if I was Tilson, I would pull him to one side and say he'll only get a maximum of 30 minutes in each of the next two games. Nic-Nic is an ideal replacement and he or Guttridge (we need to start making use of his three year deal) should replace Gower, so that we can see how they do.

Some players get burnt out quicker than others, but Mark's stamina seems to be seriously suspect... could this be linked to his back injury earlier in the season?

These are the kinds of situations where we really need to use the depth of our squad!!!

Nope, I'd keep him in my side. Gower has that ability to change a game in a second, be it with a trick, pass, cross, or a shot. Last season, everything he hit seemed to fly into the back of the net. If Tilly can get Gower back to that level again, and I believe he can, it will be like having a new player.

Guttridge, as someone else has mentioned, hasn't played 90 minutes at first team level for a long time, Tilly is just easing him in now and Nicky isn't the answer.

Last year was the same he got injured and was terrible for a couple of games and then WE PLAYED DARLO !
Remember he was amaising his goal was great and that was when he recovered after last years final when he was not fit at all so he recovers well . KEEP HIM !
AND WHOEVER CHEERED WHEN HE WENT OFF ON SUNDAY THAT WAS OUT OF ORDER WE LOOSE AS A TEAM ! (although he was not very good) BUT YOU SHOULD SUPPORT HIM!
PUMP SOME CONFIDENCE INTO HIM! SING HIS NAME THAT HELPS FREDDY!
