Good Performace Today

Am i alone in thinking that we played very well today ??

The game was never a 2-0 and MK done a smash and grab on us like we did a few times in the season when we went up.

I thought we dominated play , had the better chances and for most periods we looked like the only team that was gonna win it , but MK was a good unit and they stood firm , rid their luck a little and scored a well worked goal today against the run of play and the second goal ended up being a 3 on 1 situation as we was chasing the game and got caught going forward.

I think we can take great pleasure out of the fact at times we murdered MK dons and if only a cool head was in the box we would of been 4-1 up as they should of also scored as Chadwicks was a sitter too .

Anyway no complaints about the result , it could of gone either way and they just nicked it . all 11 players ratings today should of got a 7 IMO

Quite a decent round up really. We were the better team and apart from their number 16, Jamie Puncheon, they were very average. If they go up, they will get slaughtered in the Championship.

We had a lot of the play, created the better chances, and should have been well clear if it had not been for some poor finishing and some very good saves from their keeper. Seems ironic that about 5 mins after we should have had a penalty, Franchise FC go and score, but isn't that always the case.

Difference was we had 4-5 good chances and could not hit the target. They had 3 and hit the target twice, should have been three not sure what hapened with Chadwick, did have a fit or something!!

Don't think he likes playing here - didn't something happen to him when he played for Stoke our opening game of theChampionship season?

Yes, he collapsed due to the heat and had to be stretchered off.

My footballing dreams include Southend doing a Manure, Manure going bust & MK Donkeys going bust or ending up where they should have started their lives, below the BSC South/North.

As much as it would stick in the throats of most, I think Leeds or Millwall will beat these in the Play Offs. Even Scunny would have a good chance & thats based on having to strikers with 50+ goals between them!

I want anybody to go up ahead of MK. All the alternatives are a better option for selfish reasons. All the other clubs are poxy journeys, Millwall are scum, Leeds will click eventually & do what Leicester have done, Scunny may not fall away like they did the latter part of the season & who knows about Tranny should they sneak in!

All I hope is we keep Theo, have Dorian on a season long loan (He will never sign for us) Clarkey signs, Betsy leaves & we get a proper winger who has pace, beats players & put good crosses & corners over. A beast of a big striker would be nice, but as the team is at the moment, I think we have the bare bones of a team that could challenge. As per usual, we are light of numbers, although our bench looked quite good yesterday.

We did enough and had the chances to win. We missed our chances - MKD scored theirs. MKD appeared to have a game plan of blocking our wide men, where Francis, Scannell and Mousa have been dangerous recently and then defending with 5 when needed. We had a game plan that did not appear to change as 'one for one' subs were made. Game, set and match to MKD and their manager!
Then Scunny lose and there's still that chink (am I allowed to say that?!) of light - we must be sharper on and off the pitch tho.

we are just not good enough at the end of the day, its been the story of our season. results have improved but performances haven't. Yesterday's performance was ok/average but theres no consistency due to there being too many weak links in the starting line-up. I am struggling to remember such a weak right hand side as yesterday, i though Francis - Scannell partnership was poor at best!
