Good news on the goalkeeping front

Matt the Shrimp

aka Harry Potter
Seems like the Bart-man is on the road to recovery with the help of some technology more often seen in American Football:

Bart Braces Himself for Recovery...

I'm sure wiggy would be the first to join me in wishing Bart a speedy recovery so that Darryl has some proper competition for the #1 jersey again...

I'd hope that Bart gets fit soon, then I'll be a bit less nervous when a tackle goes in on Darryl...

I had the exact same support when my knee cap came out. The are bloody good one the basis that you are like Robo-Cop and your knee is so supported but you couldny play in one in a million years as the article says.

Still good luck to him as we need some back-up for the god that is Darryl.

The sooner Flavs has some competition the better. His recent goal-letting exploits have proven what many of us know; that he is one to rest on his laurels and performs like an average League 2 keeper.

Well, obviously only Gianluigi Buffon would provide proper competition for the great man Flavs....

Hope Bart gets himself fully fit soon, then we would have two goalkeepers that are of decent ability and with either of them in the side it would weaken it, which is the same in quite a few positions. Lovely to be in his position when you consider at other satges of Southend Uniteds' history if one of our *star* players got injured like Cort, Flahavan, Maher they would be replaced by Jordan, Emberson or Thurgood.

Now if one of our stars is injured like Eastwood, Barrett, Guttridge and Maher they could be replaced by Gray/Goater/Bradbury, Spiner/Sodje/Wilson, and for the last two Benno/Smith/Petts/Gower.

Not a bad position to be in really.

Seen his last few performances then have you, i think not!

I wasn't at Chesterfield but flavs was one of the few decent players at Brentford. I think its harsh to blame him for our recent defensive lapses.

You missed the third goal going straight through him then.
