When Tilson keeps the likes of Jupp Broughton and Wilson and lets go a very reliable proffesional like Flavs already his judgement is looking suspect. Hope you do better for yourself as unlike the above 3 mentioned you are a lot better than conference football!

And your comments on:

[b said:

* Gower signing a contract extension to stay at Roots Hall
* Jay Smith signing a new contract, and
* Andy Edwards returning to the club

I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

Yes, he is good enough as a number 1 'keeper for a div 3 (league 2) team that have no real ambition to get promoted.

We're not negative. Far from it. We're so positive, we even dare to believe we can do even better than Flavs in goal... and can seriously make a claim to get out of this division in the right direction.

You seem to be the very negative one around here!

Remind me what division Waterlooville and Havant are in they turned him down last year.....and I don't think they are in the Conference.....

I wouldn't be too gutted to see Flavs go. However, I agree about Broughton and Wilson. I REALLY want to see those two donkeys out.

Isn't wiggy quiet?

Have you any response to SBH's post, that now appears on at least 2 threads?

Tilly and Brush are building their own team and they have clearly identified (for whatever reason) those that fit in to their plans and those that don't. They also have to contend with players own needs and ambitions.

Both Leon's need the financial comfort that we cannot give them. Moving to Hull will certainly solve that for Cort but whether their demanding fans will accept some of his average performances and how he reacts to that will be interesting. With Connie I'm still confused how a move to Posh is one that would further his career. However whether Flahavan, Cort or Constantine were any good is not the issue as they are history.

Personally I don't rate Wilson and Broughton but Tilly's track record since taking charge (apart from the last few games when we were safe) is very good so I am more than happy to bow to his greater knowledge.

If we are propping up the table (or close to it) approaching Christmas that is the time to start questioning Tilly's decisions and not before.

So if Shrimperzone FC are propping up the table come Xmas me and you are out on are arses

I think its not just his ability as a keeper. His known as not being the best team player and a bit of a indiviual if this is correct then you can totally understand why Tilly wants to replace him.

In the extremely unlikely event that SZFC are propping up the table come Xmas I will:

1) Remind everyone that the first season is always difficult
2) Blame it on the assistant manager
3) Blame it on Napper's latest injury
4) Have FM's lovechild

Sad to see Darryl go as as a shot stopper he is good but his height always lets him down and I have lost count the amount of times he has been beaten with a shot a non-dwarf would have saved.

Darryl has been with us for what 4 seasons and we have never been above mid table so think its time to change.

Nice bloke and good to fans will be missed.

Oh and Wiggy your comments about Jupp in my eyes are bollacks.

Maybe you would prefer Matin Booty,Ronnie Henry, Darryl Sutch/Mcsweeny to name but a few....???

Oh, now I know you are a fraud, wiggy! Reliable professional? Is this not the man who snubbed Southend United last summer because his ego kindly informed that he was better than us. And then when NO club offered him a contract, clubs like Brighton (where he failed to turn up for a reserve game) and the mighty Havant & Waterlooville, he came back. Fair enough he did a half-decent job but he is certainly not the wonder keeper some people consider him to be ...

It must be hard to form an opinion spending more time paddling in the med than at Roots Hall!

Nope, I reckon Mike finds it quite easy to form an opinion of you.

Come to think of it, he's not the only one.

Hi Wiggy,

Since you're back, wondered what your thoughts were on the following:

[b said:

* Gower signing a contract extension to stay at Roots Hall
* Jay Smith signing a new contract, and
* Andy Edwards returning to the club

I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

Fair comment CS.
Record now scratched and binned.

I think many people were with me in looking for an answer to those questions.
