Having won 5 games in a row, we've shown the league that we're not a team to be taken lightly, which most assume we are, having seen the media's pre-season league predictions. i personally think we have cemented ourselves as a top 7 side, which, with the quality we have in the squad should be expected every season. We were predicted by many to have an unproductive season, finishing mid-table, being tipped for the Play-Offs by only one national newspaper.

Shows how much we are underestimated really...

On the bright side, Oxford are away at Fleetwood this weekend, and Chesterfield play away at Newport on Sunday so if us and Fleetwood both win, we go top (Unless Rochdale beat York by 5 or more goals)

TOP:
P GD PTS

  1. Oxford 18 15 33
  2. Chesterfield 18 11 33
  3. Southend 18 8 32

4. Rochdale 18 3 32

Defintitely a great feeling when you are on a good run, but also need to keep feet on the floor. We were in the top 4 last year yet ended up nowhere.

We are on a great run at the moment and have played some good football this season, although the last two havent been great performances we still showed great spirit to get the results.

What we need to show is that we can continue this form over a long period and not go on another losing streak and lose 4 in a row again!

Its certainly great to be the in-inform team and to be looking at the possibility of a top of the table position though!

Agent lomas I love you

Long long way to go. If barry corr gets injured before freddy is fit the whole thing is destroyed. When Kiernan goes back will phillips stay fit enough to be a suitable replacement. Can the red card issues be resolved. An injury to coker changes the outlook of the whole team too.....we are going to need a slice of luck in the injury department to have a good season.

totally agree, so it's important to get as many points on the board before January as possible...

confused, you will be, all these questions and more will be answered next week when you tune into SUFC - da dada da da dadadada:smile:

Not wishing to be a pessimist - but if we were to lose to Cheltenham and those below us win we could drop to 8th? Shows how close this league is this season!!

Exactly, and we haven't even started with heavy and frozen pitches yet. I'm surprised and delighted about how well we are doing this season, yet let's not be deluded (I'm sure PB isn't), we either need to continue with an incredible amount of luck with the present size of our squad, or must add three or four more (embargo allowing), if we are to remain in contention when it comes to the end of the season. A minimum of five matches coming up in December, followed by a gruelling seven games in January, will give us a better idea of our prospects for the season.
A win today must surely hand the Manager of the Month to Phil Brown........and how well he deserves it!
