Goater in Javea?

A (fairly) reliable source has claimed that a certain Mr Goater is to be one of the guests attending the International Youth Tournament to be held on May 27th here in Javea - the Manchester City youth team (FA Youth Cup finalists 2006) are taking part with our youth team (CD Javea) and those of Valencia CF and Hercules CF.

It's most probably b******s and I'll only believe it when I see him joining us in the sun but I was just wondering if anyone else might have heard anything, particularly any club officials / players who may be lurking? (If he does attend, then I think I might have to dig out the 'Spanish Shrimpers' flag!)

Isn't the Goat some sort of good will ambassador for FIFA? If so and the tournament is held under the FIFA banner there may well be something in it. Particularly if Manchester City are involved.

A good friend of mine is involved with the academy at City and the trip to Javea is indeed taking place, normally they go to Bermuda so it looks as if the Goat could be making the trip!

Oh, I know the Manchester City trip is happening as I've been involved in the organisation for the past few months. It was when it was mentioned that Goater would be in attendance that I doubted my source. Still, they are having a team meal at my local restaurant just five minutes away from me so I might have to wander down ...

Please do, Hooly! I really want to believe my mate, I really do. But I won't do until I buy The Goat a caña at the club bar in Jávea!! If he is coming then I'll be digging out the big 'Spanish Shrimpers' flag in his honour ...
