In 20 games we have scored 22 goals, the lowest in the top 17 places.

Strikers - 7
Midfield - 14 (Payne and Worrall 4 each)
Defenders - 1
O.G. - 1 (and what a good one it was!)

To gain promotion a minimum of 63 goals are required in this division. We therefore need 41 more in 26 games. Given the squad that we have I would be interested if someone is optimistic enough to name the players who will get us to this total! This lack of goal threat is sadly our biggest problem at the moment.

How did you come by that figure? Is it one of the laws of the game I haven't seen yet?

You could win every game 1-0, smash the division to bits like that and have only scored 46 goals in total. You could even win 40 games 1-0, draw or lose 6 games and still get promoted with ease scoring only 40 goals all season

It might not be "law" but we're on course for about 51 goals based on current record. Not nearly enough.

Taking this pointless, (or should that be goalless?), argument to hyperbolic extremes, you could go up (even win the League) by scoring just one goal.

That would leave 22 teams in the play-offs :smiles::hilarious::smile::stunned:

Completely agree with this, yesterday aside, we rarely concede a lot of goals, it's the other end that's a problem.

The worrying thing is its no different to last season and yet brown didn't manage to sort it through the summer and even spent money on a defender..

He is the opposite to Wenger!!

Wot, not French you mean?? Wenger's accent is easier to understand at times.

Two things stand out to me:
1) thunderdome will not get us promoted this season
2) neither will PB,his team choices amuse me even from so far away,he will pick a player he has signed over another even when that players form dosent warrant it,plus his ignorance when it comes to the goalscoring end of the park.

I Just do not understand why Clifford has been dropped for so long. At the start of the season, he was electric and one of our better players. I can only assume that he may have fallen out with Brown?

As an attacking force we are toilet !

Been going for 12 seasons and the last 12 months has been dire in the games I have seen, zero cutting edge with normally Corr totally isolated and outgunned by 2 defenders.

Shocking stuff.
