Following on from the "Hats on Men" thread, I lay down the following question.

Should gloves be aloud on outfield players in football?

Personally, I think football is a mans game and therefore the only people aloud to wear gloves whilst playing football should be goalkeepers and thats at a push.

I would rather our top players were warm and wore girly gloves than be freezing cold and perform below standard. so in answer to your question ...yes i think they are ok on outfield players

What looks really silly is when the player has a short sleeved shirt on and gloves. Ok, if it's really freezing, but sometimes they are worn when its hardly cold.

I've two points

1. I presume "are gloves aloud" is a freudian slip as you associated wearing gloves with girls. Gloves....Girls...allowed... 'Girls Aloud'

2. You really should make polls like this public so that we can point and laugh at the General.

Positive rep for you!

Definatly no IMO, i mean if you are feeling the cold and wanna keep warm then guess what , you can run that extra ten yards , chase back every ball and get involved in the game more!!!

Don't seem to recall back in the 60's and 70's ( when fotballers where real men) players wearing gloves:D

And that was before Global warming as well

Dave Mackay in gloves ....I don't think so......

didn't the whole arsenal team wear gloves against everton. and when gilberto took his off everyone gave him a clap. i think wearing gloves is asking to get abused! but must admit by hands were freezing cold last night at training
