I know I wouldn't!!!

It's funny you should say that, I write a monthly refereeing column for Total Youth Football magazine and we had Iffy Onuora come into the office a couple of months back and his opinion on Scally was that if you ever shook the man's hand you should check you still have all your fingers!!!!

Yep, you could see that from the Ron Atkinson meets Iffy programme, that he has no time for Scally, although he probably now hates Big Ron more!!!

Hmmmmm interesting, if that is the case then WHAT is the reason for Gills to ask the Fotball League to pair with us regarding fixtures?

Who knows. Maybe they're worried that wherever they're planning on moving to will be affected by our home attendances...

I know they were considering moving to Gravesend at one point, that's significantly closer to us but I still wouldn't have thought we had more than a handful of Kent-based fans...

At least most of there Players will only have to walk out of their front door for a home game.;)

More likely to share with Ebbsfllet than us seeing as their ground is up to Football League standard now and there are a lot nearer than Southend are.
Could you imagine what sort of crowds they would get playing at Southend? What with having to travel 50 miles to Southend across the Dartford Tunnel and rising fuel prices.

Ebbsfleet's ground is football league standard?!?
That's worrying, it was falling down last time I went there!

As they have so many of ours players on their books perhaps they could play at the Hall after FF is built.

well, there will be one more this time next year!!:support: :)

SOUTHEND United have dismissed suggestions the club are considering a ground share with League Two Gillingham.

So WHY did Gillingham ask to be pairs with us?

Don't we share the police helicopter with Kent? That's the only thing I can think of that might have any possible bearing.

I think it's purely a case of keeping their options open. There is obviously an issue with Gillingham and their ground and they see Roots Hall as a potential stop gap arrangement at some point......despite the denials at this stage.
